Originario delle foreste tropicali ha bellissime foglie a forma di cuore, verde scuro variegate di giallo intenso e crema. E’ una pianta di facile coltivazione che sopporta anche posizioni con luce scarsa. In questo caso però le variegature sono meno brillanti.
Richiede poche cure, annaffiature moderate, concimazioni regolari.
