La specie è originaria delle Filippine, ma questa è una magnifica selezione orticola.
Ha belle foglie lineari, strette e carnose, verde scuro con margini marroncino, e lunghe screziature giallo intenso e rosa. I fiori sono piccoli raccolti in mazzetti rosso rosati, profumati.
Ama luce intensa e diffusa, per mantenere brillanti i colori della variegatura e terriccio ben drenante, con inerti.
