Bella graminacea sempreverde che forma un denso cuscino di foglie filiformi giallo medio con bordi verdi.
Le foglie col tempo tendono ad allungarsi fino a divenire leggermente pendule rendendo la pianta molto interessante anche per vasi sospesi e fioriere.
Pianta facile, adatta a tutti i siti e a bassa manutenzione. Un suggerimento: tenete fresco il terriccio perchè altrimenti i carex tendono a seccare le punte delle foglie in estate col caldo.
